UPDATE (Feb. 9, 6:46 p.m.): DMX's attorney, Murray Richman, revealed that the hip-hop vet has recovered and was released from the hospital. Richman confirmed to Associated Press the news that X is out of the hospital and the rapper did indeed stopped breathing when the incident occurred. The cause of the incident is still unknown. Swizz Beatz posted on Twitter earlier today (Feb. 9) saying that he spoke to DMX following the health scare and said the rapper is in good spirits. See tweet below.

Original Post: DMX was found unconscious and without a pulse outside of a Ramada Inn in Yonkers, N.Y. last night (Feb. 8).

TMZ originally stated that X had an asthma attack but now claim that the rapper was found not breathing and without a pulse, which likely indicates a drug overdose.

The report says that cops received a call about an unconscious man at a Ramada Inn just after 6 P.M. When police showed up, they found DMX lifeless on the ground next to a parked car and immediately performed CPR until his pulse returned.

A witness allegedly told the police that DMX had "ingested some sort of powder" before collapsing. Police gave the rapper Narcan, an opiate antidote used to quickly reverse the effects of a drug overdose, after which X became "semi-conscious." The rapper is in stable condition and no criminal charges are expected.

In December of 2015, DMX missed a court date and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The It's Dark and Hell Is Hot MC was ordered to appear before a Westchester (NY) County Supreme Court judge for a hearing on paying back child support to his ex-wife Tashera Simmons. "I just want him to own up to his responsibilities, so I can move on, so we can move forward," Simmons told Bossip. "I don't want to see him in jail. I want him to be an adult so we can move on. This is not a priority, there's always an excuse."

Once on top of the hip-hop world, DMX has been unable to shake his demons. Hopefully this latest incident will serve as a wake up call.
