DJ Khaled shocked fans when he publicly proposed to Nicki Minaj last week. But many are wondering -- was it real or fake?

In a new interview with Power 106's DJ Felli Fel, the 'No New Friends' artist explained why he proposed to Queen Barbz and his plans to keep asking her until she says yes.

"I just had to be honest man, I always liked her, she's my friend of course. I liked her, it's more than a crush...," Khaled confessed. "She out there hustling and I respect that. I feel that I can take of her. And she is beautiful."

Minaj has yet to respond to Khaled's proposal. However, there are unconfirmed reports that the Young Money starlet file a restraining order against the Miami producer.

If this is true, then DJ Khaled doesn't give a hoot about a restraining order.

Also, Hip-Hop Wired reports that DJ Khaled could be already married. Say what?!

According to the website, Khaled is purportedly married to Nicole Tuck. The couple was photographed together at the 2012 Grammy Awards. She is also credited as a "spiritual advisor" on Khaled's 2010 album 'Victory.'

So either Khaled believes in polygamy or he has some real explaining to do.

When asked what if Minaj said "No" to his proposal, Khaled replied that he will accept her refusal.

"If she says no, it's all love," he said. "She’s my friend. She might not be ready for marriage. I want kids, I want a lot of things, but you gotta be ready for this."

"She might say yeah tonight or tomorrow, she might say yeah next year," Khaled added. "What am I gonna do, give up? Never. I ain’t never give up on nothing I do."
