Sunday night at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn was "Biggie Night," as the legacy of The Notorious B.I.G. was honored in a special tribute.

In a tribute to the 20th anniversary of his untimely death in March 1997, Biggie's 72 jersey was retired and raised to the rafters. The banner, which was presented during the halftime break, features the lyrics to "Juicy"—"Spread love, it's the Brooklyn way"—serving as a prominent reminder to his influence in Brooklyn and the world.

Biggie's friends and family were on hand for the occasion, with DJ Enuff spinning and Diddy showing up to pay special tribute to his late friend/artist. Fittingly, the Nets (who have the worst record in the NBA this season) beat the New York Knicks 120-112.
