Sneaker giant adidas Originals will use one of the leaders of the new school to help promote the re-release of an old classic. The Top Tens are being retroed, and Danny Brown is the star of the campaign.

The Detroit rhymer went to his Instagram to reveal some of the ads he did for the adidas collection. Brown is pretty excited for the release of the throwback kicks. "I can't remember a time in my life when I don't remember top tens," he explained briefly in the video above.

In one photo, he captions it: "If u Bruising go out and cop a pair of them new Adidas Top Ten ... Other than that u losing bruh bruh."

Brown's new role is a welcome change-up after he released the highly anticipated 'Old' last year to rave reviews.

The Top Tens originally dropped in 1979 and quickly became a staple of street fashion. The sneakers will be available at retail outlets and adidas.com on Jan. 24.
