Daft Punk trolled the 2014 Grammy Awards -- or that's what the internet believes. While everyone thought the French electronic music duo graced the stage at the prestigious ceremony to accept their golden gramophones for Record of the Year ('Get Lucky') and Album of the Year ('Random Access Memories'), apparently they weren't actually the ones wearing those white robot suits.

The people who were in those robot suits were reportedly stand-ins -- no wonder Pharrell Williams spoke for them while accepting some of the awards. The real Daft Punk --  Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter -- were actually quite visible just a few feet away, according to Z107.3.

In fact, they're seen sitting right next to the robots before they rise to accept the award. Basically, one of the biggest electronic acts ever made an extremely rare, unmasked public appearance at the 2014 Grammys, and everyone missed it.

But this isn't even the first time they were spotted unmasked. Daft Punk was caught playing champagne pong in Sony studios a while ago, according to a Twitter post that has since been deleted.

Get ready to shake your head at the appearance at the 1:21-mark above -- de Homem-Christo and Bangalter are reported to be the men dressed in black suits seated on either side of the white robots. Also, note how they really sell it, clapping to congratulate their win and hugging those bots. Daft Punk aren't just musical geniuses; if this is true, they're pretty sneaky too.
