Congrats to the Colonie Pop Warner Cheer Team, they were the opening halftime show for the first Albany Empire game this Saturday. The girls did a great job and had the crowd going with their performance here is the official press release.

On Saturday, April 14, athletes on the Colonie Pop Warner Cheer Team took part in an extraordinary opportunity. Girls from 5th-8th grades in Lisha Kill and Sand Creek Middle Schools took the field at halftime during the Albany Empire’s inaugural home opener Arena Football game at the Times Union Center to perform their national winning Globals Cheer routine in front of a sold out crowd.

These are athletes not only dedicated cheerleaders, they maintain good grades in school, are involved in extracurricular activities, and community service activities.

I'm sure we will see more performances from the team all around the Capital District, Congrats to The Colonie Pop Warner Cheer Team.
