Columbia High Student Charged With Attempted Murder

According to Times Union, A 16-year-old Columbia High School student has been charged with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing another 16-year-old student in the City of Rensselaer on Friday, police and the East Greenbush school district confirmed Sunday.

The stabbing did not take place at the school, so no other students were involved. The students knew each other in and out of school.

The police found the victim on the side of the road late Friday night. He was taken to Albany Medical with life-threatening injuries. Police have not released the names of the victims or the suspect, they are both residents of East Greenbush. What would make a young person want to stab someone they grew up with?
