Chris Brown is changing his surroundings. After a shooting occurred at a California nightclub he was hosting at -- five people were wounded -- on Sunday (Jan. 11), the 'New Flame' singer is no longer interested in working at "hood" venues.

According to TMZ, Breezy called an emergency meeting and told his manager and crew to cancel future gigs -- performance, hosting or otherwise -- that had a threat of security problems or a history of violence. The site also reports that Brown apparently doesn't want to be linked to any shootings and is doing his best to protect his rep, his fans and himself, of course.

Breezy performed at a San Diego club on Jan. 12 following the shooting and reportedly posted more thoughts about the shooting on Instagram.

"No more n---- parties! Only this type s---!" the caption apparently read. However, it looks like he's deleted the comment -- thanks to the new edit feature on the photo-sharing app.
