Chris Brown isn't always partying it up and getting into trouble. As part of his Unity Campaign, he spent part of the Fourth of July weekend by making sure that kids have the shoes they need to go out and play.

Working with Reebok, who donated the sneakers for the event, 'WE US: Walk Everywhere in Unity's Shoes' took place at Crenshaw Senior High School in Los Angeles.

"I used to have to borrow my cousin's clothes," he said at the event. "So being able to come from that poverty-stricken environment and then being able to get out of it is what I tried to [do]. ... I just want to show the kids and have them have a better light of opportunities for them to do what they need to do."

Despite the fact that he was recently charged with a hit and run, it's good to see that this doesn't stop Chris Brown from making a difference and having a bunch of kids smile.
