A day after a woman accused him of assault, Chris Brown breaks his silence and speaks out about the allegations. As we previously reported, Breezy is a suspect in a misdemeanor battery and theft after a woman claimed that the singer allegedly punched her and took her cell phone.

According to the La Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the woman, identified by TMZ as Liziane Gutierrez, said that Brown hit her and took her phone after she snapped a photo of him in a private room at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Authorities have not yet spoken to Brown and the investigation is still ongoing.

The 26-year-old crooner jumped on his Instagram account and addressed the criminal case against him. In a video, provided by gossip blog Shade Room, the “New Flame” singer accuses the victim of trying to get paid off of him.

“Obviously somebody is looking to get a check or start some s---,” he says. “I don’t know this old-looking bitch. She looks old, like dusty. Look at her in the Jason Derulo video. Like, she came to Vegas. She probably came to my room and was too ugly to get in.”

If you are wondering what he meant by "look at her in the Jason Derulo video," apparently, the alleged victim, Ms. Gutierrez, is reportedly a known groupie who was once turned away from boarding Derulo's tour bus.

In a photo on his IG account, Brown shared his thoughts about the new year while alluding to the incident. "Keeping my circle small in 2016! I'm done taking the care of grown ass men. And I'm going to be hella rich after all the lawsuits I file from these crazy individuals who keep lying on my name. Happy NEW YEAR! Time for some of us to grow the f--- up!" he wrote.

We couldn't agree more with Brown's New Year's resolution. However, he needs to clear his name in this assault case -- ASAP!

Meanwhile, Brown’s publicist have told the media that the victim’s “statements are unequivocally untrue” and is “a complete fabrication.”
