In honor of J Dilla, Beat Shot music continues its tradition of celebrating his life, achievements and of course, his music, through the annual Beat*Shot Spins For Dilla semiformal, now in its 9th year.

For this year's event, Lucas Confectionary Garden in Troy will play host on Friday, February 24th, and will enlist the musical talents of some of the area's best artists well as a special performance from the official 518 J. Dilla tribute band, the Dilla Gents, performing selections from the producer's classic work, The Shining.

Admission is $10. Doors open at 8pm and the shows starts at 9pm. J Dilla and Beat*Shot merch will also available. Proceeds from this event will benefit James Dewitt Yancey foundation and the family of Dontay Ivy.
