Eight Capital Region high school basketball teams had made it to their respective classes' Final Fours in the New York State Public High School Athletic Association championships this weekend. The 15 boys final four and championship games were played at the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens falls starting on Friday. The 15 games for the girls were played at Hudson Valley Community College, Friday through Sunday.

However, the game on March 17, 2006 was more than special, on and off the court. I was at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia with the team and will never forget the experience of that game. Albany alumni across the country were digging out their old 'Albany State' sweatshirts after that program changing performance.
