Earlier today, J. Cole made a rare appearance on Twitter to speak on the current NFL protest controversy. But before he got it politically popping, he took one tweet to randomly shout out Cardi B.

"Cardi b I seen your breakfast club interview, loved it," he wrote. "Don't put all that pressure on your album. You already won. Just drop & repeat."

In the interview Cole is referencing, Cardi noted that she would be pushing back her album. The Bronx rapper's debut was originally slated to drop in October. But while speaking with DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God and Angela Yee, Cardi didn't seem quite so sure she would keep that time frame. “I wanted to drop next month,” she explained, when prompted about the release date. According to the rapper, she’s been trying to top the success of “Bodak Yellow” and it’s been tough. “Every single time I think I got all the 10 songs I’m like, I’m buggin. These ain’t it. It’s just like, damn I’m competing with myself. I’m competing with the goddamn No. 2 record [on the Billboard Hot 100] and stuff.”

But Cole's piece of advice might be a step in the right direction. Cardi responded to Cole's name-drop on Twitter typing: "Is this real :') Son my heart is smiling 😌Well who am I not to take J cole advice."
