If you were ever wondering if Chief Keef was really banned from BET like he said, wonder no more.

In an Instagram post captured by DJ Akademiks, Bow Wow confirmed what the drill rapper relayed back in 2014, that the network cut him off for not showing up to a taping of 106 & Park. Bow also said that Keef was blackballed from all of mainstream media at one point.

"BET banned Sosa," wrote the former CSI Cyber actor. "I was fighting to get Sosa on 106. It was no go from the uppers. They really blackballed him from mainstream. It's crazy."

These days, things are a little different for Keef compared to two years ago. He no longer has that massive deal with Interscope Records, and he's relocated from his beloved Chicago to the blue skies of southern California.

He's also cut down on some of the shenanigans he was involved in, like posting guns on social media and getting into local Chicago beefs. Some might even say Sosa has matured since his early mixtape days, and he's no longer interested in burning bridges like he did at BET.

In 2014, after the dreadlocked spitter learned he couldn't come to the BET Awards, he dissed the network on Instagram while sitting in a car.

"F--- the BET Awards," said Keef. "I'm a let ya'll know right now. If we go to the BET Awards, chains getting took. B----- getting f-----. Baby mamas getting f-----, still pregnant. All that," he said.

At this time, it's unknown if Keef has a lifetime ban at BET, or if he and the network will eventually kiss and make up.
