Hot 99.1 is teaming up with the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority to participate in this year’s Creative Expressions Contest.

All month long we will be highlighting heroes in Black History Month. The Creative Expressions Contest for Black History Month features students from all over the Capital District dropping facts on a Black History Month hero.

Today we welcome Schenectady High School student Audrey Canty, who tells us about Ruby Bridges.

The Black History Month Creative Expression contest is made Hot by KIPP Tech Valley Primary Charter School. Join them for an open house Monday, Feb. 27 when they will be enrolling students for the August 2017 term.
