Looks like Lil Wayne's recent hints that he signed with Jay Z's Roc-a-fella Records at a recent show may've really upset Birdman—so much so that the Cash Money CEO reportedly halted negotiation deals on releasing Wayne from the label.

TMZ claims that Birdman was really close to settling the infamous $51 million lawsuit with Wayne but now the two are back to square one. As HipHop Wired points out, Wayne was once going to sign to Roc-A-Fella but Birdman stepped in an offered Wayne a deal which resulted in the launch of Young Money Records.

At any rate, if the lawsuit is ever going to be settled, Wayne is going to have disparaging Birdman in public—something that he's obviously had a hard time doing thus far. While Birdman once claimed he wanted to "fix and heal" his relationship with Wayne, those days are apparently over.

Check the video at the Camp Flog Gnaw Festival that led to the end of the deal.
