After posting a tribute to Houston on Instagram following the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, Beyoncé has now announced that she'll be aiding her hometown as the storm continues to affect Texans.

In a statement given to the Chronicle, the Lemonade singer said, “My heart goes out to my hometown, Houston, and I remain in constant prayer for those affected and for the rescuers who have been so brave and determined to do so much to help.”

Beyoncé also revealed she was working with foundation and pastor to come up with a plan of action. “I am working closely with my team at BeyGOOD as well as my pastor (Rudy Rasmus) to implement a plan to help as many as we can.”

Launched in 2013, BeyGOOD partners with global charities to help get people employed and also provides housing, clothing, counseling, food and medical assistance.

The singer is just one of many celebs who have stepped up during the storm to help the city and state. Nicki Minaj, T.I., Chris Brown and DJ Khaled have all donated to the Red Cross after comedian Kevin Hart issued a challenge on social media. “

Hey whats up big bro, Kevin Hart. I accept your challenge," Brown wrote in an Instagram post. "We need to come together so. Im donating a $100,000. So man this is for everybody out there in Texas for the relief and everything.”
