So, we all know that the BET Awards took place last night in LA. The show was amazing, of course. I loved Beyonce and Kendrick's performance together, Usher was super dope, but I have to give a round of applause for Stevie Wonder, Tori Kelly, and Jenifer Hudson on their Prince tribute- it literally gave me chills.

However, BET took over a couple of networks last night as well, and if your kids were trying to watch Nick at Nite, it was a wrap. Also, MTV and VH1 were playing the BET Awards. I love my people, and I'm all about using our voices in the platforms that we have made for ourselves.

Being that this year is an election year, I felt that a lot of the artists that performed and took home awards definitely voiced their opinions on the 2016 election. Activist Jesse Williams took home the Humanitarian award and gave a phenomenal speech. Here it is below.
