Earlier this year, Kanye West asked how many out there can call themselves real friends and in the case of A$AP Rocky and Tyler, The Creator, the distinction cuts both ways. The two have put their camaraderie on display both onstage and off, and Tyler appears on A$AP Mob's Cozy Tapes Vol. 1: Friends, which dropped earlier this week. Speaking with Genius, Rocky explains the story behind Tyler's guest appearance on "Telephone Calls," and says the two have more music coming.

"That’s my brother," he says. "Yeah, we had to [compete] because I bring a certain energy out of Tyler. Tell me if you’ve ever heard Tyler, the Creator rap like that in your life. Wait until you hear new shit we’ve got coming. We’ve got even more crazier shit. That nigga is just as much blood to me as most of my A$AP niggas. That’s my bro. I wish I knew that nigga my whole life."

Rocky goes on to refer to Tyler as "a nerdy big kid" and explains how he showed up to the studio while everyone was passed out on the floor. Cozy Tapes features Lil Yachty, Madeintyo, Offset, Yung Gleesh, Wiz Khalifa, Onyx, Skepta, and the whole A$AP crew, including Playboi Carti, an affiliate of the squad who apparently just inked a deal with Interscope.

There's been word of a few collaborative projects from various hip-hop heads in the pipeline, with the friendship between Tyler and Rocky continuing to blossom on wax.
