Allen Iverson Announces Retirement From The NBA

Allen Iverson is officially going to announce his retirement from basketball at the Sixers NBA home opener on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 when they play the Miami Heat.

Fitting, because LeBron James said after Michael Jordan, Iverson was his second favorite player.

Iverson finished his career averaging over 26 points per game, and at 6-feet, was the smallest player ever to average 20 points or more for his career.

You have to admit Iverson changed the image of the NBA baller, for better or worse.  Perhaps you were a guy with cornrows, perhaps you got tattoos during the time he was in the NBA.

Iverson wasn't perfect, he had his share of troubles off the court, but everyone knew he played hard and with heart, and of course, loved practice!
