Albany’s Concert Series ‘Alive at Five’ Kicks off Today
Today is the first Thursday for Alive at Five at it's new venue.
Due to construction at the riverfront, this year's concerts will move from their usual spot on Jennings Landing to Tricentennial Park on Broadway and Columbia Street. All shows are 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Broadway will be closed in the area at 9 a.m. the day of each event.
Performing tonight is Dr. John and the Trippers and New Orleans pianist Jocamo.They are expecting a great crowd despite weather forecast.

June 23: Tony! Toni! Tone!, pop-soul trio, with Tameka Amar
June 30: Funk Night: The Chronicles (playing tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire) and Thump Gospel (tribute to Michael Jackson)
July 14: Irish Night: Enter the Haggis, Canadian Celtic rockers, with Hair of the Dog
July 21: Bloc Party, British indie rock band, with Titanics
July 28: Country Night: Locash, country duo, with Skeeter Creek
Aug. 4: Molly Hatchet, Southern rockers, with Tumbleweed Highway
