A Tribe Called Quest to Open Pop Up Shop in NYC This Week
Ahead of their much-anticipated final album, A Tribe Called Quest will be opening a pop up shop in New York City this week.
To celebrate their first album in 20 years, the iconic hip-hop group will give fans a chance to purchase merchandise related to their upcoming album, We Got It From Here, Thank You for Your Service, which drops this Friday (Nov. 11).
Specifically, the shop will be open at 393 Broadway from 3 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, and from 12 p.m. till 8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 and Sunday, Nov. 13. And if you're not in NYC, don't fret. Fan interested purchasing merchandise will be able to do so in bundle packages at ATCQ's online store.
Of course, We Got It From Here, Thank You for Your Service comes with high hopes, given the group's impact on hip-hop and music in general. To that end, the album features some of the most important names in music—Andre 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Busta Rhymes Elton John and Jack White. Following the release of the album on Friday, AQCQ will head to Saturday Night Live to perform with Dave Chappelle as host. The following weekend, a street in Queens will be named after Phife Dawg, who passed away back in March from complications due to diabetes.
