It's dope to see what Pharrell's career has evolved into since first seeing him in N.O.R.E.'s "Superthug" video nearly 18 years ago.

After conquering the world of music and more recently television with The Voice, the Neptune has been dabbling in the movie business, producing the film Hidden Figures and Roxanne Roxanne, which already played at Sundance. Plus, he's written a number of songs for films like "Happy" for the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack.

Now, Pharrell will be releasing a musical on the big screen called Atlantis through Fox studios, and it'll be a Romeo and Juliet type of story that'll be based on his childhood.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the director will be Michael Mayer, who won a Tony Award for his Broadway show Spring Awakening. He also directed American Idiot, a musical based on the rock band Green Day's 2004 album.

More than likely, it'll be quite some time before Atlantis hits theaters since it was just picked up by Fox but either way, it looks like Mr. Williams is well on his way to being a major Hollywood player. That's one thing for sure.
