50 Cent Produces New TV Drama ‘Power’
50 Cent is adding to his lengthy list of jobs. Fiddy is producing a new TV drama for Starz called 'Power.'
According to Deadline, the show follows James “Ghost” St. Patrick, a wealthy New York City nightclub owner who wants to build an empire. Ghost is apparently living a double life as a drug kingpin, which threatens his legal money, not to mention his family life and personal safety.
Starz CEO Chris Albrecht praised 50's role in shaping the show. “Curtis has a unique and specific vision for the series, lending it an authenticity and voice rarely seen,” he stated.
The rapper will serve as executive producer and oversee music for the show, but there is a chance that he will also act on the series, Deadline reports.
'Power' is slated to begin production in late 2013.
The 'Before I Self Destruct' creator famously played Marcus in the loose biopic 'Get Rich or Die Tryin'' in 2005.
