Fans have been waiting with bated breath for the third season of Power to air on the Starz network. Well, the wait is over.

On Wednesday (May 25), 50 Cent went on Twitter to announce that Power is returning this summer. The powerhouse drama is set to air on July 17 at 9PM ET.

The series, which stars Omari Hardwick as James “Ghost” St. Patrick, is slated for a 10 one-hour episode run. Also, if you haven’t noticed, Power has moved to a new night - Sunday - from their usual Saturday night showing.

According to EW.com, the third season will have plenty of drama as 50 Cent's character Kenan will be seeking retribution after escaping his brawl with Ghost in season two.

“Together, we’ve really constructed a world where all the choices are deliberate,” said Power creator and showrunner Courtney Kemp. “Ghost has no idea how to just be James, and how to let go of his Ghost persona entirely. He doesn’t know how to go straight."

"The theme of the season is ‘Be careful what you wish for,’" he added. "But is there something within Ghost that keeps him from being that person he wants to be?”

Power's season two premiere set a Starz record as the most-watched episode and it looks like the show will most likely smash that record in July.

So set your calendars: The season premiere of Power will air on July 17 at 9PM ET on Starz. Watch the trailer above.
