3 Local Malls Listed As 'Best Of' New York

Crossgates Mall, Aviation Mall, Colonie Center, Stuyvesant Plaza, and Clifton Park Center are just of a few of the many shopping malls and outlets we have here in the Capital Region. While this list is certainly debatable (and surely bound to annoy a few) a recent survey ranked 25 of the very best that upstate New York has to offer. Three local malls not only made the list, but were in the top 10. How does your favorite mall rank with the best of upstate New York?

According to NewYorkUpstate.com these businesses are the best malls in Upstate NY according to Yelp.com's "best" formula, which ranks them by factors including star rating ,volume of reviews and more. Here are where the three local ones ranked:

#10 Stuyvestant Plaza Shopping Center

3.5 stars, 11 reviews

One customer says: "For me this is the remedy for all the big, boxy malls and, to a degree, box stores that are seemingly everywhere. The remedy comes in the form of an open, airy feel along with the mixture of both local stores and chain restaurants and stores. When I go here, I am always finding something I haven't found before, either in a store or just by walking around."

One customer says: "Overall, the food scene is quite diverse. From The Melting Pot and Texas de Brazil to your everyday Starbucks and even a place that sells edible cookie dough, I was stunned to see all the choices available."

One customer says: "What a great turnaround story! It went from being a second class mall to the one we go to! The movie theater is better, there's Tesla chargers, LL Bean, and Whole Foods. The Macy's also seems nicer here."
