Residents in Downtown Albany will be able to park closer to home beginning late summer/early fall.  The areas affected will predominantly be within a three quarter mile radius of the Capital.

This is bad news for state workers but good news for residents and business owners.  Parking illegally could cost you a $45 fine.  Parking legally will require a $25 annual permit.  State employee unions argue the biggest issue is the lack of parking period.  I can’t disagree with that!
