Juneteenth has long been a celebration of freedom, as the date represents the time when the last slaves in America were freed after emancipation.

Today, the celebration of the human spirit serves as an important historical milestone commemorating African American freedom with an emphasis on education and achievement. Be a part of the Juneteenth anniversary celebration!

Juneteenth is celebrated in 30 states, the District of Columbia, and is an officially recognized New York State holiday.
